Soothing Thumb

Ashley was being very naughty. I found her sucking her thumb the other day. It is a lot easier to take a binkie away than it is to kill a thumb sucking habit. Right after she was born she threw that thumb up to her face and started sucking. So I will have to watch out for that one. I know I was a hardcore thumb sucker and my mom had a hard time getting me to stop. So let’s hope I don’t have to do the same with Ash. She is such a good girl. She has been sleeping better than the boys lately. She never wakes up during the night. I love her to death. She has a cute belly laugh too. I need to get it on video and post it.

Freedom

One afternoon Noah woke up from his nap and instead of calling for me to get him out of his crib. I found him toddling down the hall. I guess he decided he was done with the whole jail lockdown crib thing. So we finally switched him over to his big boy bed. A very smooth transition. Should have done it sooner I guess, or maybe it wouldn’t have been so smooth if I had? Next step is to get him and Luke to share a room peacefuly so that I can kick Ashley out to her own room. Here is a cute picture of his little fingers sticking out from under the door on the first night of freedom.I was making some brownies and Noah decided that he wanted to watch until they were done. So he pulled up a chair. Judging by the size of that belly he probably doesn’t need any brownies. I love Noah. Always eating

ABCs and 123s

Lukes new obsession is this website I found for him. I am hoping it will help him learn his alphabet. Preschool starts in Aug and I was hoping to get a jump start so he doesn’t get stuck at the “Turtle Table”.

Luke has never really used the computer much. But he got the hang of it really fast. He is so smart. I love the way he says “click”. He kinda sounds like the kid with the mouthful of spit when he says it. “I kalick it mom” So if you have a bored toddler. This is the website for them.

Valentine Rewind

We had a fun Valentines Day, considering not much thought was put into it. The night before was spent at Justin and Staceys eating dinner and then decorating cookies. For me, it was nice to hang out with “tall people”. The next day, Luke and I made Valentines for Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. We headed over there once John got off work, hung out with them for a while and then headed over to Subway (I know real romantic!) for a bite to eat. It was a fun and simple day. I like the non-hectic holidays! Cookie Decor TimeNoah with a mouthful!Boys, rough-housing as usual.Stacey made some goodies boxes and cupcakes. Aren't they so cute! Thanks Stacey!
When we got home we found suprise cookies from my mom. There were some that were even cuter then these, but they got eaten real fast. My mom, the artist! To end the night, the boys in front of the TV, nice and quite.Ashley in her V-Day outfit. Johns Grandma Flora made the sweater, so cute! And here is a picture of the Willow Tree that John surprised me with. It is Angel Ashley Michelle saying goodbye and sending down Ashley Renee. I love my husband because he knows me so well. He makes me so happy. He keeps me laughing. I don’t know what I would do without him. And if things go as planned, I will never have to find out! Eternity with John, it doesn’t get any better then that!

The Perfect Upset

John, being a NY Giants fan since the age of 6, looked forward to this super bowl like none other before. We started the party off with NY style thin crust pizza and hot wings. We continued to stuff our faces with chex mix, soda, and brownies. The game was of course awesome. The Patriots in search for an undefeated year suddenly became imperfect, due to the Giants amazing will to win. John was hilarious to watch as he and my Dad jumped for joy when Manning refused to go down and Tyree caught the ball with nothing but his fingertips and helmet. They did it. One of the biggest upsets in Super Bowl History.
The boys are wearing Johns old Giants hats.Luke is wearing Johns Giants shirt that he has had since he was 8 years old.

The phone continually rang with congratulations for my Giants fan. He is still walking in the clouds. The Giants won the Super Bowl!

Two part Tag

Roni thought it would be fun to have both of us answer these questions and then compare. Well here goes. John's answers are in Blue, and Roni's are in Purple

How long have you been together? Forever, you were always in my heart! Six years this June.
How long did you date? A couple hours, usually at night. 4 months of blissful dating, and 4 long months of engagement.
How old is she? 26 years young. 27
Who eats more? I could eat her weight in food. John is my human trash compactor.
Who said "I love you" first? Me, I was the gutsy one. During the Christmas Devotional.
Who is taller? Me unless she is wearing heels. Johhny
Who sings better? Roni but she doesn't think so. John makes a great Elvis impersonator.
Who is smarter? Well I have to continually tell Roni to stop being smarter than me. Lately, I have trouble spitting out the simplest of sentences. So this round goes to John.
Who does the laundry? I will start the laundry and Roni will finish; by finish I mean everything besides putting the first load in the washer. He puts in a effort to lighten my “load”.
Who does the dishes? Maytag! I do most the time, but John will surprise me sometimes.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? "I am always RIGHT". Looking at the bed I sleep on the right. Same as his parents and mine, weird huh.
Who pays the bills? Roni is my financial counsler. I get a little obsessive about where our money is going and when its getting there.
Who mows the lawn? Hey Roni what type, or brand of mower do we have? :) Yeah but at least I know it needs mowed. You would let it get ten feet tall if I didn’t nag.
Who cooks dinner? 50/50 but her's is always better. 50/25/25 Roni/John/Eating with my parents, respectively.
Who is more stubborn? "I AM NOT ANSWERING THAT!!! Me for sure. I always tend to get my way. John spoils me too much.
Who kissed who first? It takes two to tango. We tend to disagree on this one. I never kissed a boy first, but for some reason John thinks I kissed him. Wrong. I sat patiently waiting.
Who asked who out? I asked her and she brought her friend. A misunderstanding he will never let me forget.
Who proposed? Lets just say if she did I wouldn't have married her. John did twice. Once with a wal-mart ring to ensure his capture, while I was at Ricks and he was working in Utah. And again a month later with a gorgeous ring he picked out himself just before I headed to El Paso two months before the wedding date.
Who is more sensitive? I am, I just can't handle this dry climate and my sensitive skin is always breaking out! He is when it comes to our kids, but not so much when it comes to road rage and people who stand in his way while shopping at wal-mart.
Who has more friends? Roni is my one and only friend, so if she has more than one than she wins. John is better friends with my friends. He never hesitates to call people up. I’m a bit hermit like these days.
Who has more siblings? Roni. I guess we are even now actually.
Who wears the pants in the relationship? Let me tell you who buys the pants in this family. Not to mention paying to wash them, shelter them, feed them, and drive them around town to run errands. John does take good care of us.
I love you John! Happy Valentines Day.

Who are you tagging? I usually tag Noah because he screams when I chase after him. Anyone that has the time.

Tag im it

A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then go to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

What was I doing 10 years ago? I can't remember what I had for breakfast two days ago, although I'm sure it was cold cereal because I don't have time to cook with 2 crazy boys and a baby girl to take care of. But you can pretty much just put a "ditto" to Melanies list. Except add in a bit of day dreaming about getting my first kiss.

What are 5 things on my to-do list? Why are you going to help me out with some of them? Or watch my kids so I can get them all done in one day instead of 2 weeks. 1. Bathrooms 2. Finish thank you cards. 3. Mail Johns moms stuff that got left behind. 4. start sanding the playroom walls. 5. Hair cuts for the boys

What would I do with a Billion dollars? First I would hire a full-time maid and cook, so all I would have to do all day is play with my kids. Then I would pay for everything I have ever wanted to buy. Oh and those pesky student loans. Then save some, invest some, share some, and spend the rest.

3 of my bad habits: Chewing my nails off. Allowing luke to watch too much tv. Yelling at my kids.

5 places I have lived: El Paso, Chula Vista CA, Yuma AZ (for a few months when ashley was sick), Rexbug ID, and now back to EP. I guess that only makes four.

5 jobs I have had: clerk at a Middle school with mel and then Becca the next summer, DI - cuz im "special"haha, Western watts (phone surveys- i think i lasted two weeks), All things wireless (until they went bankrupt), And a maid (to follow in my moms footsteps) But now i get to do the best job ever - Mommy, Mama, or gooo depending on who you are talking too.

Things people don't know about me: I cant spell, I hate reading in public, i never rode the "screamer" at wet'n wild (to big of a wuss), I am completely dependent on John for decision making. (and back in the day, that job landed on Melanies shoulders)

I Tag: Sarah, Stacey, Lisa, Colleen, and Amanda B.
