Then again... Maybe Not

Here is a picture of the three cutest boys in the world headed off to their annual Father's and Son's trip. Loaded up with all their camping gear and junk food, they were so excited to go camping. And here is a picture of that same loaded down van, only it didn't quite make it to the mountains. With smoke a blazin' and a slipping transmission an hour into the trip, John soon realized his boys were not going to go camping with him.Luke took the opportunity to play John's PSP while we waited for the tow truck to meet us out in the middle of no where.Ashley was just excited to get to see her "Guys" again. (She was a little distraught when they left her)So much for a "Girls Only" party. But honestly, it was really fun to have a Saturday together as a family without any plans or obligations. We really enjoyed our weekend together.

PS The weird end of the story, We took the van in and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Cross your fingers we don't break down again.

ELVIS is in the Building!!!

In case ya all didn't know, my John is a huge Elvis fan. His mom had Elvis playing in his ears from day one. So it seemed fitting to have Elvis/John's mom, join us for his 30th birthday party. Much to his surprise, she popped her wig covered head out of a box singing "All Shook Up". It was worth the 1,000 mile trip, just to see the shocked looked on his face when he opened up his giant wrapped birthday present.

"Thank you, Thank you very much!"

Noah got a little pooped out half way though the celebration.

Ohh Elvis is such a hottie!John, you are "The King" in this house, for ever and always! I love you!
Elvis is still ALIVE!

The Jolly Green Giant

My sister made a special trip to El Paso just for fun and just so we could meet Ian, her best bud and new boyfriend. And because we can never get enough of Eric and Andrea, they made the trip over too. So it was a little mini reunion for us. Minus -Todd and Kat.

Yes, Ian is really, really tall. And he is kinda jolly too, so I guess that makes him the "Jolly Green Giant". (Why green you ask? Well apparently his stomach couldn't handle all the Mexican food we threw at him, cuz he got sick towards the end of the trip. Poor Ian.)

Mmm, Mexican sweet bread

Uncle Eric worked on my dad's truck all weekend, So Luke used his imagination to do the same to the toy kitchen.

Are you kidding me, she is so amazingly gorgeous! Yeah, her and her Daddy are twins. (Ignore her sugar encrusted lips.)
Happy Birthday Grandpa!

It was a fun trip Em, and we love Ian. Sorry he got so sick! I guess it is a good thing we didn't attempt Chico's. hahaDid I make you former El Pasoan's watery mouthed with that picture. I think I need to eat there tonight! See ya later, I'm off to get a "Single" and a red hot dog in a hamburger bun!

Yet Another Trip to AZ

Arizona has become our home away from home. We always have so much fun at Eric and Andrea's. Now any time we have been on the road for a thirty minute drive anywhere, Luke says. "Oh I know where we are going, we are going to Katelyn's house, aren't we!" haha

The reason for our trip this time, John and my dad wanted to run in Pats Run this year. Pats Run is the signature annual fund raising event for the Pat Tillman Foundation. They, and a bunch of other family, ran in it and are planning on making it a yearly tradition.

Always a princess dress up party at Aunt Melgo's.

Check out that face. Seth is such a funny kid.

It isn't a trip to Arizona without an IKEA outing.

Last stop of the trip. In-n-out. Ohh so good.

Until next time, which probably won't be that long from now. haha
