Ok so the time has come for me to end my blogging vacation. I have enjoyed my time off, but now I need to catch up on life. No more Breaking Dawn, no more Olympics, it's time to get down to business.
Most recent and most exciting news, Luke started Pre-K yesterday. He got dressed up in his new outfit that he picked out all by himself and put on his new shoes and backpack. And I was in shock at how old he looked. Aside from the fact that he looks like a 10 year old, he really did look older overnight.

He gave a kiss to Noah and Ashley and hugs and kisses for mom and dad and went to take his place in society. He boarded the bus with no fear and waved bye-bye from his seat.

Noah was the only one who got upset. As the bus drove off, he started crying and said “No, my Lukey.” He continued to be upset the whole walk home.

When we got to the bus stop to pick him up he was wearing a name tag that said Adrian on it. So there was confusion when it was his turn to get off the bus. I was so anxious to get him back safe in my arms. I really missed him.

His name tag was found and he just jumped off the bus with a big hug for me. He didn’t say much about his day at school except that the there were no seatbelts on the bus and he had to walk on the white line after he got off the bus. He was excited to get up this morning and do the whole routine over again. I’m eager to watch him learn and grow.

And so a new routine of life has begun at the Chaffin residence, a little sad, but very exiting. Time sure is flying by, way too fast.
