Terrible Twos At Its Best

Ok so that is not a black eye you see, it is just Noah getting into my makeup. Luke really didn’t investigate too much when he was little. Noah on the other hand, is into everything. As you can see he loves my makeup. I only wish I had gotten a picture of when he got into my lipstick too. I know, I know, put it where he can’t reach it. (He still finds a way to get into it.) And how can I not refer to the time he smothered his Grandma's upholstered dinning room chair with a tub of butter, or the time he pumped lotion into his hands and encrusted it all over the mirror, or the time he put a gang of his toy dinos into a gallon of milk.

And there is always the strange substances found inside his mouth, rocks, dirt, all toys, sheetrock, paper, a certain unmentionable green matter from his nose, you name it, he eats it. There is never a dull moment with Noah-Nator around, I love him.

Bath Time, Splash Time

I love bath time. Ashley is fearless, she loves to blow bubbles in the water already. Noah is a little fish, it is impossible to get him out. Luke is hard to get in, but once he is in, he whines when its time to get out, makes no sense to me. The best part is how sweet they smell afterwards. Splish Splash, here they are takin' a bath!

The Bear

Don Haskins, an El Paso icon, passed away today. I grew up going to UTEP Basketball games with my dad and watching “The Bear” coach. Something about his personality always reminded me of my grandpa, firm yet underneath the rough exterior was a gentle side. He coached at UTEP for close to 40 years, and then lived the rest of his life out here in El Paso. If any of you have not had a chance to see the film “Glory Road”, it is time. It’s a great story of his success and the change that he brought to basketball. He will be missed.
I always wondered if my Grandpa named his son after Don Haskins. I guess I need to go visit him while I still have time, especially now that I am reminded how short life is.

Johnny The Hottie

Doesn’t John just look great in his new Scout uniform?
He is the new Assistant Scout Master. Couldn’t be a better spot for him. He will do well in this calling. Following in his fathers footsteps.

Guns vs. Fashion

My niece Katelyn was over playing in the playroom, she picked up the boys toy gun holster. I watched her as she stared at it wondering what it was. Then she proceeded to sit down and try to put it on her foot. Why are girls and boys so different? A boy would have just known that a gun went inside. Only a princess like Katelyn would think this must be the new shoe fashion. I love her. Can’t wait until Ashley gets to play dress up too!

AZ Part Dos

Here is the rest of our Arizona trip. We were lucky enough to get to be in town for Seth’s Birthday, Jackson’s blessing, and Clays first time to the temple. Busy Busy weekend. All in all it was a lot of fun. It’s always good to be with family.
