Father's Day

(Do all those people belong to me?) Smiley Face

French toast for Father Day breakfast.

The "D"s in DAD are backwards. hehe

Poster board tie we made him to wear to church because, every Dad needs a new tie for Father's Day.

I'm lucky in love!  John will forever be the most amazing Dad/husband every created.  He's a good man and he's mine!

Summer Kickoff

Nothing says it's summer time like a water balloon fight at the park with the Millers.

Shark Pool

Proof of Ethan's crazy splashing habits.

Luke's first official sleepover.

They finally crashed on the couches at three in the morning.

Love Summer Break!  No homework, no bed times, no alarm clocks.
Life is good.

Noah's Kinder Graduation

I asked Noah what he remembered most about his graduation and he said, "I was super surprised."  He was super surprised because he won the Citizenship award, translation, "teachers pet" award.  John and I were very proud of him.  I have always know that Noah is amazing, it was just nice to know that others think that of him too.

Shaking hands with the principle, sporting his special gold lapel.

We lucked out with another great Kinder teacher.  I hope she sticks around so that Ashley can learn from her too.
Congratulations Noah-Nate!  Love ya

Mother's Day

I really do have the best kids around.  Add in a perfect husband, 1 o'clock church and I'm in heaven.  Here is a classic breakfast-in-bed combination plate.  I love how the fork and the knife are on the wrong side of the plate.

From this photo, you can gather that I am a stomach sleeper with an upside down baby sleeping right next to me, so that leaves me the edge of my giant king size bed to attempt some sleep.  But hey, I got to sleep in, so no complaints here.

I love how Ashley is holding up the homemade syrup.  I saw that and took it from her a.s.a.p.  Wouldn't want to clean that out of the carpet.

Next year remind me to sleep in some pretty PJ's instead of my favorite t-shirt from high school.

Eperton, Efers, Efin, E

Ethan had his very first birthday party on April 22.  Circus themed- After watching John juggle, Ethan would take balls and throw them up in the air and I'm pretty sure he thought he was juggling just like his daddy.  His birthday landed on a Sunday this year so we decided to just have a family party instead of doing the whole shebang, and it's a good thing we did because he ended up being really sick that day.  It was sad because I was looking forward to watching him eat his first piece of cake, and he just got stressed out and threw the cake on the floor. Poor little buddy.  Maybe next year.

Some of my favorite Ethan shots

He went through a phase of rolling around, then he would prop his feet up on the closest thing he could find.

Even in his sleep

Ethan's first experience licking the beater clean.

I think he enjoyed himself'

Other Ethan-isms...  He's hyper, laughs easily and full of energy. He knows a lot of sign language.  He playfully loves to hit, pinch and punch.  (My guess is we will have some biting issues when he gets to nursery.) He loves bath time! (a lot of one year olds like to splash around, but with Ethan, you need a full wet suit to give this kid a bath.)  He loves yogurt.  He loves to be outside and sometimes will throw a complete fit if he sees someone go outside without him.  He loves (worships, is crazy about, admires, prefers, adores, cherishes) his Daddy.

Love this baby.

March Recap

Here is a bunch of random March favorites. It was great month for me because I finally started putting Flylady to the test and I am such a happy Mama because of it.  I love having a clean home!  Everything has been running so much smoother around here because of my routines.  Thank You Flylady!  Anyways, on to the randomness...

For the optimal Star Wars experience, you need to view the movie in a hand constructed fort. (while baby brother is napping)

Haphazard hose down in the backyard, and yes it was still a little to cold out for such behavior, but with John as a dad, it's to be expected.

The boy's moved fast in attempt to dodge the sprays.

Here is where I will accept comments on John's mustache.
 "Creepy or Cool?"
UPDATE:  the 'stache is no longer with us.  RIP (smile on my face)

Planting sunflower seeds.
UPDATE:  We now have several ginormous sunflower taller than our rock wall.

Seriously...  I love her, look at that hair and those beautiful eyes!
