AZ Va-Cay

Part 1
Uncle Jared and Aunt Mary

Grandma Chaffin came in town to visit Jared and Mary so we went over to AZ to join the party.

Pool Time

No trip to AZ is complete without an IKEA shopping trip!!! Although Noah and Daddy got a little tired during the whole day experience.

Sleepy Guke, staying up way to late!

July 22nd

We celebrated another birthday for Aunt Ash. We went to the cemetery and sang happy birthday to her (well grandma Larson was the only one to actually finish the song). Grandpa was hangin' out in the car, but you know he would have never of made it through, such a bawl-baby. Melanie happened to be in town with her kids and we all got to meet little Jacky Boy (such a handsome little guy, but I forgot to get a picture of him). It turned out to be a fun day spent with family.

I want to squeeze those puffy little cheekys!!
Best buds.

Growing Older and Letting go

Ok so the time has come for me to end my blogging vacation. I have enjoyed my time off, but now I need to catch up on life. No more Breaking Dawn, no more Olympics, it's time to get down to business.
Most recent and most exciting news, Luke started Pre-K yesterday. He got dressed up in his new outfit that he picked out all by himself and put on his new shoes and backpack. And I was in shock at how old he looked. Aside from the fact that he looks like a 10 year old, he really did look older overnight. He gave a kiss to Noah and Ashley and hugs and kisses for mom and dad and went to take his place in society. He boarded the bus with no fear and waved bye-bye from his seat. Noah was the only one who got upset. As the bus drove off, he started crying and said “No, my Lukey.” He continued to be upset the whole walk home. When we got to the bus stop to pick him up he was wearing a name tag that said Adrian on it. So there was confusion when it was his turn to get off the bus. I was so anxious to get him back safe in my arms. I really missed him. His name tag was found and he just jumped off the bus with a big hug for me. He didn’t say much about his day at school except that the there were no seatbelts on the bus and he had to walk on the white line after he got off the bus. He was excited to get up this morning and do the whole routine over again. I’m eager to watch him learn and grow.
And so a new routine of life has begun at the Chaffin residence, a little sad, but very exiting. Time sure is flying by, way too fast.

Nostalgic moments to look back on!

Stacey tagged me. It sounds fun so please play along if you want to. I'm excited to hear the memories that you all have of me.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. If you want to leave a memory about John, that's fine too!

("It's all about the memories, man"; Can't hardly wait)

If you want to be completely honest

Here’s to my wife. She is my cook, my maid, my housekeeper. She manages to cook, clean, do laundry, pick up the house, take care of the kids, and do a bunch of other stuff everyday, while I can barely take care of the kids for an hour while she runs to the store. How do you do it? Roni is an amazing woman. I remember when her Dad interrogated me before we got married; he said “Roni is a special girl”. I know what he was talking about. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect person to spend eternity with. Now I could go on and on about all the stuff she does for me and my kids but that would take to long and I know how annoying it is to read an enormous blog so let me end with, I love you Roni.

Love, Me

P.S. Who else will still love you after you drop your baby?

Independence Day

Stacey and her family invited me and the boys to the annual El Paso parade. We had a great time. Stacey made some cute cupcakes and we were able to cool off afterwards inside her dad’s office, which was located on the parade route.
Only in El Paso!!!
Next, we had a pool party at my parent’s house and a family BBQ to follow. We had to watch fireworks on TV because of the
“no fireworks inside city limits law”.
Next year we need to be in Idaho Falls for their show.
