Halloween Party

Another successful Halloween Party has come and gone. We ran out of couch space this year! I didn't get a individual picture of the Milligan Family, but they were all dressed up as bumblebees...So cute.

Little Red Riding hood and her posse.

It's easy finding a grandma costume,
when you are living with your grandma.

Sarahs homemade Frankenstein costumes.

Noah thought Landon was a pretty cool kid.

Ashley was just excited to have a girl her age to play with.

Time to decorate cupcakes

This is one serious Big Bad Wolf.

Noah went a little wild with the sprinkles.

Happy Halloween from the RonJohn Clan!

Feeling the "Burn"

I was having a little nostalgic moment and decided to take my family to the Burning of the the "E" this year. It was fun going back to the same stadium that I preformed at so many Friday nights. We were crammed in there with five billion other El Pasoans and sat back to enjoy the show.

Ok so, terrible picture but here were the Trooperettes with their legs coming out of a super high kick.

Of course you can't have a burning of the "E" without a 15 minute forever long folkorico routine. haha

"I liked the part when that big "E" got burned up."

Caught red-handed

Meaning:

To be caught in the act of committing a misdemeanor, with the evidence there for all to see.

I love that Luke was willing to sweat to death under his cover for a chance to play his video game just a little bit longer. Crazy kid

The First Grader

Here is my puffy eyed Lukey on his first day of first grade. He was so excited to wear his red shirt and show off his new Star Wars backpack and lunch bag. He told me he didn't want to put his lunch bag inside his backpack, he wanted to carry it for all to see.
He has been in school for a month now and seems to be enjoying himself. Of course if you ask him what he has learned you get your typical boy answer of.... "nothing". He has a teacher who understands him and loves him. She told me during Parent Night, "Most of the time I think Luke isn't paying attention, but then I ask him a question, he knows exactly what going on." That's my Luke, always in "lala land", and yet still managing to learn something. He has started to have "real" homework now and I don't know who hates it more, me or him. But I'm excited to see him power through this year and really pick up on reading. He is such a smarty pants and I love him.

To show off just how smart he is, take a look at this video. It is one of his favorite star wars clips and he has the ENTIRE thing memorized! The kid is amazing!

Bye Bye Binky

At the beginning of the summer my Ashley (and when I say Ashley, I mostly mean me) decided to rid herself of her binky for once and for all. She was such a trooper about going cold turkey.

And now she owns her very first Barbie Princess!

(Side Note: I wanted a picture of the girls but Noah just had to join in the picture, such a dork. And yeah, I can't keep a shirt on that kid)

Who is the better artist?

"I drawed on Ashley, and then Ashley drawed on me"
said Noah

Mmm Who is in charge of these wild children?
At least it wasn't permanent.
