Not on my "To Do List"......

Wake up to the sound of a rushing waterfall
Step out of bed to find water on the carpet
Hyperventilating as I walk down the hall/pond
Find a busted pipe pushing out 90 gallons of water per second under the sink
Process to chuck out the old "To Do List" and create a much much larger one!
Things I'm grateful for....
Grandma for the connections and numbers of who to call.
John getting off work early, so I wouldn't have to deal alone.
Justin and Stacey for watching my babies so I didn't have to worry about them.
Keith and Joy for lending us there super duper water vacuum that got rid of most the water.
The El Paso Court system for canceling my Mom's jury duty so she too could help with water extraction.
And of course our rent free residence for the past week while things were drying. (Thanks Mom and Dad)
The house had so much water that it was flooding out the garage door and down the street. (And if you have been in my house the garage is no where near the kitchen) The furniture in the living room was swimming and all four bedrooms were drenched. Eight blowers and two dehumidifiers later, we have finally started to dry out. Now we just need to get new padding for the carpet, strip the tile of water calcium deposits, repaint baseboards, and reconstruct the cabinets under the sink..... Just to name a few. It is going to take a while until life gets back to normal.
(P.S. Donations will be accepted to cover our water bill this month. Please make payable to the "Shoot me now - Flood Fund" ) haha
Hey at least it wasn't a fire, Right!

Oh I felt so terrible when I heard! My washer leaked from the laundry room into the hallway and living room a few weeks ago, but it's nothing compared to yours! Luckily my wood floor was only slightly damaged. I can't believe it, but at least you have a good attitude- you're right, a fire would have been worse! I hope your furniture was salvageable. You poor girl!
Hey there...remember my house this summer? Twice it flooded. I can TOTALLY sympothize!! HANG IN THERE!!!
Puh-leeeeze. A flood? Sixty-five percent of your body is water anyway. Seriously, your such a baby.
Seriously Amy, your such a tard. Its a good thing i like you or else i would have to hate you.
So sorry to hear what happened. I hope all is well. Hope everything is being taken care of. Sounds like you have had a hard time. I agree that its a good thing it was water and not fire. All bodies are safe and sound and that is all that matters. Everything else in the house is just stuff and can be fixed or replaced. Im just glad that all is ok.
Reggie,
That SUCKS! Stupid ol' pipe! I'm going to kill it! Man I think I would run down the street screaming obscenities. You'll be ok, take it one day at a time and then come down to IKEA and replace some stuff, then I get to see you!
Ya, but what you gonna do? Go private and block me from your reader's list like all my other "friends?"
Wow! That really STINKS! So sorry. I'm glad you had so much help, and good luck getting back to normal.
Roni I agree with Amy its just a little water! NO big deal! so your furniture is ruined and you are staying at mom's house! Golly Roni stop the whining! By the way I love you! Mom will be back soon to help!!
Ron!!
Holy crap, that stinks. I hope none of your cute stuff was too badly ruined that you can't keep it. We were all just talking about how dang cute your house was when we were there. I love your attitude. I'll be sending a check, what was it..."Shoot me now?" Awesome! Love you! See you soon.
Hey Andrea, you are right no big deal. The only thing that was really ruined was your expensive leather couch. I was wondering how to tell you guys. Thanks, Oh and remember No Whining.
Hey John,
Why don't you get a real plumber next time. I know you think you are manly, but we all know you are not a handyman. I heard you tried to "Fix" that pipe a few weeks before it broke... hmmmm go figure! :)

Holy CRAP!! THat totally sucks Ron. Glad you have a good attitude. I think if I woke up to that I would have layed down and drowned in it.
You need a shirt that says "Got Flood Insurance?"
But really do you?
That stinks. I couldn't imagine what that would be like. We have a crawl space and the furnace is down there. I guess if the crawl space flooded then we could float our house away and get a new one.
Again. Bummer deal.
Chad.
