Minivan Mania

Yep, that’s right folks we are a minivan family now!!!! Yeah. A week before we headed out for vacation I changed my other mind about going up in the car. Luckily I had already done all the research possible about the best buy out there and ended up with a 2004 Honda Odyssey, and I love it. The trip was so much fun and easier with a van. Hurray for soccer moms!!!

Play/Guest Room Completed

Well it is official. Eric and Andrea got to be our first guests to stay over. (Thanks guys, we had a fun time.) They were the first to benefit from our new play room/ guest room/ entertain yourself, so I can keep my sanity room/ cool place to hang out room. It is officially painted! No longer will the terrible texture situation plague us. John and I had a lot of fun working on this project and I am so happy to have a place for us to play again. Special thanks to John for doing most of the work, My mom for watching the kiddos and helping with the paint, my dad for all his tools, Johns family for the money that got us started on the project, and My babies who inspired me in the first place. (Sorry I didn’t paint the ceiling red and the closet purple for you Luke, but you have to keep resale value in mind!!! But I love you for your creativity.)

Off to a slow start!!!

Thomas the Tank Engine (Tanked)

So we read in the paper that the Toys r Us store was going to do a Thomas Day, with book readings, coloring pages, trading cards and lots of other fun Thomas stuff. So we told the boys about it all week and got them revved up to go. Saturday morning we rushed over in our conductor attire, to find that they had canceled it due to lack of participation. Luke was distressed. So John pestered all the employees until he found one that talked to a manager and got a hold of some coloring pages and cards. So all in all it turned out to be a fun trip. And now Luke keeps quizzing me on all the names of the train cars, because I guess I am supposed to know all of them just like he does.

Spiderman Splendor

Grandma Larson has made a blanket for all of her grandbabies. Only Luke really isn’t much of a baby anymore, so he got a special Spiderman blankly to snuggle up in. Thanks Grandma!
